Best USB C Hub for Macbook Pro | Cable Creation 7 in 1 USB Hub

There are many USB C hubs out there, the expensive ones and the cheaper ones. Why pay more when I'm getting the same for a cheaper price? They are cheaper BUT, yeah there is a catch to that. They are cheaper because they lack some basic features. They are cheaper because it doesn't support the latest gadgets and the ports are outdated.

Today, I'm introducing you to one heck of a USB C hub for an affordable price. It is CABLE CREATION 7 in 1 USB C hub. This is a must-have accessory if you own a MacBook Air or Pro or iPad and other USB-C devices.

Cable Creation USB Hub

We filtered many products and suggested this CableCreation USB Hub. Why?

  • First, let's talk about the design and build quality of it. The USB hub is surrounded by a thin aluminum shell and the cable is a 15 cm braided one so it's more durable than the regular cables, with gold plated USB C male port.

  • It has 7 ports. Let's talk about them one by one. First, the HDMI port. This HDMI port supports max 4K@60Hz resolution and HDR, and supports 6/8/10/12-bit color depth output, with more ideal depth, brightness, detail, contrast, and a wider color gamut. You can Mirror or extend the screen to a 4K monitor or 4K TV or projector.

  • The next port, or say ports, the SD card slots. It has both an SD card slot and the micro SD card slot. The SD card slots have read-write speeds of 480 MBPS. If you shoot your videos a lot in the camera and you want to access your footage. You just simply plug in the card and use it right away just like plug and play.

  • Next 2 USB A ports. Both these ports are USB 3.0 which supports data transfers up to 5 Gbps.

If you are buying a USB hub, in 2022 or later, not just this one but any usb hub for that matter stop buying the USB 2.0 instead buy the USB 3.0. USB 3.0 is 10 times faster than USB 2.0.

I’ll quickly show the data transfer differences below. See it for yourself.

There are some cheap USB hubs with USB 2.0 ports on them. Make sure to check this one before buying any USB hub.

  • Let's come back to features. There is a USB C port. This makes the USB hub PD charging pass through and work as a hub at the same time. The USB C power delivery is up to 100 watts. If you have a 100-watt PD charging adapter laying around, then you can use that to take full advantage of this USB C port. It gives an output of 92W for charging the connected laptop and 8W for powering the hub.

  • The hub has a 1 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet port. It ensures a more stable and faster-wired network connection. If you are streaming or gaming online then it's better to use a wired connection rather than depending on the Wifi. It also has a status LED light to show the connection status. If you want to take full advantage of this port, you need to use an ethernet cable according to CAT5E standard or higher.

  • Last but not least, it has a braided cable, unlike the ones that get inserted into laptops. It's just personal preference. It makes the whole setup look very clean.

  • Unlike the ANKER, BELKIN this CableCreation USB hub is a more affordable one with great support for features and similar build quality.

If you are in the Apple ecosystem then this is your perfect partner. It can be used with Macbook, or iPad to access files and also with iPhone as an OTG adapter. It is a perfect match for Stream Deck and Microsoft Windows laptops.
